About me
I am a professionally trained and working Actress in theatre, film and television and have performed professionally on 4 continents!
I was very fortunate to study at LaSalle College of the Arts in Singapore on scholarship where I received a Bachelor of First Class Honors in Acting and then continued to work for 5 years in Asia full-time as an Actor. From 2012-2021 I relocated to New York City to study and work as an actor and had some really wonderful experiences. One of my greatest loves is physical theater and my training includes Viewpoints, Suzuki, Kalaripayattu, Butoh, Commedia dell'arte, Grotowski and Laban. Since May 2015 I have been a very proud core member The Ume Group, a physical theater company with a foundation of acrobatics and Butoh training and have been doing online zoom performances of Playback Theater. I was also involved with the NYC clown troupe / drama facilitation company ZARA AINA in May 2017 until 2021 and was selected to travel to Alabama several times to work with the youth organization BAMA Kids and also travelled to Madagascar in 2017 to work with at risk Youth at the Zara- Aina Youth Centre. We toured around Madagascar in Africa with the third year students performing KING LEAR and even facilitated in a juvenile prison. It was an incredible experience! I am also an actor and staff member of The Dramatic Adventure Theater Company (DAT) and have had the pleasure of traveling to Tanzania, Ecuador and Slovakia with the company working with indigenous and marginalized communities. Whilst over there, our teams would teach, facilitate and create theater in villages, universities and orphanages. From 2018 I was focusing on education and social justice, getting my Masters Degree (whilst pregnant...twice...phoo!) in applied theater from City University of New York graduating in 2020. My thesis was facilitating clowning in a harm reduction community and it was truly amazing! I have now relocated back to Sydney Australia with my family and have been getting back into theater, film and television. I have been fortunate to book several national TVC's, feature films and short films. Currently I am writing my own material and I am truly excited to see where that goes! |
